I was gonna say "Barbershop Quartet", but then I realized that it's only three. The sounds that they make are very difficult to describe; the only thing I can compare it to is 'a very loud rolling water-drop' you know, like when you roll your tongue? Then a series of very loud chirps. It's funny to watch them do it, they puff their feathers out so they look like a big black feather-y ball with a little head. I think I'll make a recording of it next year and see if I can post it somewhere, or try to find it online.

Wow, that "a very loud rolling water-drop" is a sound I'd love to hear. After they puff themselves up, do they release their breath in a chirrup and deflate? That certainly would be amusing to watch.

It grates on the eardrums after a while. Actually, yes, they do something very like what you're describing. They puff themselves up, do their little song-and-dance routine, then deflate and fly off to another spot of land, where they inflate and repeat.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
